Collection: TIES THAT BIND AW25
This Autumn Winter 25 Season, designer Jude Ng feels a pull to return to his roots as a creative. The playful inner child emerges, rekindling a sense of wonder as he reflects on where his creative journey began. In a world which is getting crazier and more complex at a rapid pace, we feel a strong longing for simplicity and grounding, the happy and safe place where we are able to flourish.
In this collection titled, “Ties That Bind”, we are inspired by ties to community, family and a sense of belonging. A return to ones roots, finding ones core or centre and retracing where the journey of self discovery began and how it will continue.
Reflected in the silhouettes of the season, garments which are elegant and thoughtful in their cut and asymmetry reveal a hidden complexity with the use of ties which can be ruched to transform the shape of the clothing - a common thread running through the collection. Signature JUDE silhouttes bring familiarity to the collection, yet are subverted with inventive detailing to surprise and delight the wearer. With our softly tailored shapes in luxe and comforting fabrications which wrap, comfort and hold the wearer, we want to conjure feelings of protection and cocooning self-love. Italian and Japanese brushed wool flannels, cotton corduroys and jacquards, in rich, warm mineral colours allow the wearer to journey within, in an intimate voyage of soulful reflection.
